St. Mary School Culture Fair
On Sunday May 20th St. Mary School will be holding a Culture Fair from 1:00pm to 3:00 pm. Students in grades 1 through 8 have been busy studying various nations and collecting information that will be on display throughout the school during the Fair. In addition, Christian Home and School Association will be offering a variety of ethnic foods. Everyone is invited to attend.
Faith Into the Future
Jeff Hennes an alumnus of St. Mary School will be ordained into the priesthood on Saturday, June 23rd at St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral in La Crosse. He will celebrate his Mass of Thanksgiving on Sunday, June 24th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s. We the families of St. Mary School have an opportunity to congratulate Jeff by giving him the gift the vestment he will wear as he celebrates his first Mass as a priest on Sunday, June 23rd. It is a beautiful Marian chasuble that he has chosen to remember St. Mary. If you would like to contribute toward this gift from the school please send in your money by Friday, May 25th. Let us continue to pray for vocations that more of our young men enter into the priesthood.
Label and Milk Cap Program
Just a reminder to turn in your milk caps, Campbell labels, and box tops. The last day for collection this school year will be on Friday, May 18th. This is a great no cost fundraiser for our school.
Brat Fry
CHSA is sponsoring a Brat Fry on Thursday, May 17th from 10:00-6:00 at Smith Bros. Colby. They are asking families to donate baked items for the sale. Items should be individually wrapped. Examples: bars such as rice krispy treats, brownies, etc. (12 bars out of a 9” x 13” pan); cookies – 3 in a ziplock bag or wrapped together. Donations may be dropped off at the school (make sure clearly labeled for Brat Fry) on Wednesday or early Thursday or at the food stand (located at Smith Bros.) on Thursday.

End of Year Picnic
The last day of school is Wednesday, June 6th. We will once again be having a picnic for the students and their families. CHSA will be supplying the meat and buns for the picnic. We will begin serving at 11:00 a.m. We are asking each family to contribute one item for the meal. If you have more than one child in school, please donate the item for the youngest student.

Grade 6 & 7: Pre-sweetened Kool Aid

A few parent volunteers are needed to help set out the food beginning at 10:40.
Dress Code, Supply List, and Calendar
The next newsletter will have the dress code, supply list, and calendar attached to it. This information will not be mailed this year. Only the final report card will be mailed. The dress code, supply list, and calendar can also be found on the school website www.stmarycatholicschool.net throughout the summer.
